Tender are invited for Crossflow Clarifier Lifecycle Replacement - Design + CES
Project Description : The community of Fort McMurray, Alberta is one of 10 communities included in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB). The Fort McMurray Water Treatment Plant, located at 1 Silin Forest Road, was constructed in 1986 and upgraded and expanded between 2008 and 2013. The original plant included two clarifiers, 12 flocculation (floc) chambers and 2 backwash tanks. The clarifiers include two concrete tanks, sludge collector system, tube settlers, effluent troughs and weir plates. These systems have mostly remained unchanged and were not part of the previous upgrades. In 2020 a Crossflow Clarifier assessment was completed that recommended structural and mechanical rehabilitation. The floc and backwash chambers were only partially inspected, so re-inspection is planned in 2021 under a separate project.
