Detailed_Description : The Ministry is seeking information from suppliers on available products for crime risk mapping, analysis, and reporting. The information gathered will be used to inform future procurement decisions in assist in establishing a future vendor of record database available to staff of Ontario Public Service (OPS) and Broader Public Service (BPS) responsible for physical security of their respective buildings or workspaces.
Scope of Work : Conducting building physical security Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) are a fundamental pillar of the Ontario Public Service (OPS), Physical Operating Policy (PSOP) and associated physical security program. TRAs support the ongoing protection of OPS people, information and assets, and assist in identifying and evaluating potential risks. This enables the OPS to develop and implement effective security strategies. As threat environments become increasingly complex and dynamic, understanding these risks is essential for effective risk management. Reducing risks and managing protection costs are both important considerations when planning, selecting, and implementing safeguards. To ensure that building TRAs comprehensively encompasses neighborhood environment and influences that impact physical security, as well as the safety of staff and information, it is essential to include various tools and methodologies such as risk reports and/or assessments, heatmaps, and other visual aids within a building TRA report. Utilizing these tools can assist in visually identifying and articulating neighborhood crime trends that may influence a buildings design or physical security posture.
