INTRODUCTIONThe Government of Bahamas, with support from UNDP under the GEF-8 Umbrella Programme and related biodiversity initiatives, is undertaking the update of its National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) to align with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and CBD Decisions 15/6 and 16/32. The assignment will support a comprehensive, participatory process involving stakeholder engagement, gender mainstreaming, policy alignment, biodiversity mainstreaming across sectors, and strengthened implementation planning.UNDP therefore seeks to engage a qualified firm or consortium to prepare Bahamas updated NBSAP and support the country-s commitments under the Convention on Biological Diversity. SCOPE OF TENDERThe selected firm or consortium will support the Government of Bahamas and UNDP in revising and updating the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) to align with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) through a comprehensive and participatory national process. The assignment includes stakeholder engagement and consultations, conducting biodiversity gap analyses, gender assessments, policy alignment reviews, and biodiversity mainstreaming across key sectors while identifying financing, capacity, and implementation gaps.
