Tender Details

The nmlc has a requirement for two (2) corneal topography systems (18-038), one (1) for naval medical center san diego and one (1) for naval hospital jacksonville. The corneal topography systems will serve as upgrades to the existing excimer lasers used for laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (lasik), expanding the medical treatment facilities (mtfs ) capabilities to include corneal topography-guided lasik. The required system is cleared by the fda for corneal topography-guided lasik procedures for patients diagnosed with myopia (up to -8.0 diopters), astigmatism (up to -3.0 diopters), or a combination of myopia and astigmatism (up to -9.0 diopters). The systems shall perform corneal topography using placido disk technology. To accommodate the new corneal topography systems, the full requirement will include software upgrades for the existing excimer and femtosecond lasers (alcon ex500 and fs200) at both mtfs.
