BackgroundThe PCCMHS Phase II programme contributes to strengthening resilience and adaptive capacity of Pacific Islanders in the context of climate change and disasters, ensuring that migrationand relocation remains a choice, and displacement is averted, minimized and addressed. The joint-programme is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), together with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the International LabourOrganization (ILO), the Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS), and the Platform on Disaster Displacement (PDD). The project has the following outcome, Outcome 1 Governments cooperate at the (Pacific) regional and sub-regional levelto manage climate mobility.
