Advanced Reactor Design — Reactor Digital Phase 2

This notice is for a 2 year research tender on reactor digital design capability, including thermal hydraulics modelling and virtual engineering. It is split into 2 separate lots. The 2 lots will be contracted separately, i.e. 1 contract to deliver Work Package 1 and another to deliver Work Package 2. Bidders may tender for 1 or both lots but their proposal must treat each 1 as a separate offer.

Main Site : United Kingdom.

Lot 1: Building on the work of an earlier phase, develop solutions to accurately model reactor thermal hydraulics to aid the design and development or evaluation of future reactor designs, using different cooling fluid media.

The BEIS standard terms and conditions of contract will apply to this contract except for:

— Section 27, Intellectual Property Rights which shall be replaced by Annex E, Section 1: Exploitation of Intellectual Property, and

— Section 29, Government Property which shall be replaced by Annex E, Section 2: Ownership of Assets.

The Contracting Authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are Small or Medium Enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
