AaltoSDG: A digital solution to support the development goals at Aalto University

Aalto University is committed to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in all its activities: research, teaching, innovationand campus development. Aalto University myoes analyzes and reports on its activities in the field of long-term development. However, it is not the case that there is no chance to get a full-time access to the University in order to achieve SDG care or SDG goals. The information is fragmented and difficult to access, and it is not always linked to the everyday life of a wave student or personchoices. The aim of the solution to be developed in the innovation competition is to accelerate the promotion and achievement of SDG goals at Aalto University by means of motivating and activating communication media. Aims of the solution:

The aim of the digital solution being developed is the overall attractiveness of the SDGs for their versatility and mediocrity.Taking into account the elasticity: different data sources and interfaces are needed to describe each goal. In the innovation phase of competition, the example can be set in motion 3 5, and the scope can be extended during further development. However, the pretext is the involvement of all 17 goals, right from the beginning. Other clusters are potential waves (candidates for students and staff) and potential co-operation partners (research projects, companies). The solutions are evaluated according to how well they are pursuing the goals set for the solution (Appendix 2).

Support for Participants:

AaltoSafe Sustainability Hub, Aalto Campus and Real Estat are responsible for the next Innovation Partnership following the launch of the AaltoSDG Competitione (ACRE) sec Aalto IT Services.
