The BBC is looking to purchase a web based 'Social Audience Engagement Console/Software'. Using SMS and social media is a highly important component of live Radio and TV programmes. Programme makers need tools/services that allow them to easily read, curate and use messages within their programmes. Programmes also run competitions, votes and charity campaigns.

The contract will have an initial term of 3 years following completion of the implementation. Volumes of messaging and users are available in the procurement documents. The total value of the contract in II.1.5) is based on an estimate of a total 5 year contract.

Where there is more than 1 economic operator, the BBC reserves the right to require a grouping of economic operators to take a particular legal form or to require a single economic operator to take primary liability or to require that each party undertakes joint and several liability.
