Project and process management services for the implementation of the LA21Plus process in the 4th district of Vienna (Wieden)

The Local Agenda 21 is part of the international program "Agenda 21" for Sustainable Development for the 21st Century In WiLA21 processes are implemented at the district level with the intensive involvement of the citizens. A process management office (Agendabuero) should undertake the following tasks: Activation and motivation of the district residents, development of projects with citizens, design of cooperation relations between different actors, moderation and mediation, expert advice and Oeff.

In the fourth district of Vienna (Wieden), the process and project management of a Local Agenda 21 process is to be taken over. The Local Agenda 21 has been an important instrument of citizen participation and sustainable district development on the Wieden for more than 10 years. The central task is the involvement of citizens in brainstorming, Planning, and implementation of projects of sustainable district development. For this, suitable forms of communication and cooperation with the district policy, the city administration and technical experts must be set up. The main topics on the Wieden are intensive activation of residents in different districts of the district, the increased use of digital participation tools and-their good connection with face to face participation, the monitoring of existing agenda projects and the development of new projects in the field of climate adaptation.
