Balticconnector: Manufacturing and Supply of Offshore Line Pipe.

Baltic Connector Oy and Elering As are planning to construct the Balticconnector Pipeline, a bi-directional natural gas pipeline to connect Finland and Estonia.

Main Site : The start point: peninsula of Fjusoe, near Inkoo, Finland. The Estonian landfall is close to the town of Paldiski.
This procurement procedure covers the supply of line pipe completed with internal flow coating, external corrosion coating, concrete weigh coating including supply and installation of aluminum anodes on part of the line pipes.
The main properties of the pipelines are described below:
— 20" line pipes — OD x wt: 508 mm x 15.9 mm — In accordance with DNV-OS-F101, and supplementary Client requirements,
— Line pipe manufacturing process: HFW,
— Line pipe material grade DNV HFW 450,
— Internal Epoxy Flow Coating,
— External 3LPE Corrosion Coating,
— External Concrete Weight Coating,
— Pipe Grade F D,
— Aluminium bracelet anodes,
— Pipe Length 77.2 km (an estimate) + contingencies [1 354 m],
— Material for weld procedure qualifications.
The scope of work associated with the delivery of the line pipe materials includes:
— Project management and engineering, including manufacturing procedures and associated quality plans and ITP's;
— Procurement of raw line pipe carbon steel material;
— Line pipe manufacturing and testing;
— Internal flow coating of line pipes;
— External anti-corrosion coating of line pipes;
— Concrete weight coating of line pipes;
— Supply and installation of aluminium brace anodes embedded in the concrete weight coating;
— Application of external corrosion coating and associated testing;
— Delivery to the selected harbour and unloading to keel side;
— Other related services necessary for completing the scope of work.
The scope will be described in more detail in the technical specifications and other documents which will be provided to the candidates invited to the negotiations.
The construction services (seabed intervention works and pipe line installation works and pre-commissioning) of the offshore pipeline will be procured separately.
Candidate shall be enrolled in relevant professional registers kept in the state of its establishment if relevant, in trade registers kept in the state of its establishment, in register of employers and prepayment register if relevant, and register for payers for value added tax; under the conditions laid down by that state.
