Electricity Supply 50 Hz, Unit F, 2019-2020

SBB, which purchases about 300 GWh of 50 Hz electricity per year in Switzerland to power some 2, 200 objects, has launched an appeal procedure to search for suppliers able to guarantee the energy supply of a selection of sites.

Anxious to exploit the possibilities offered by the free access to the network, the group researches for the years 2019 and 2020an energy supplier for the selected sites. Access has been requested by the SBB and has been granted by the different network operators.

This call for tenders covers 121 connection points and an overall annual consumption of 24.3 GWh.

Conditions for countries not having-adhere to WTO agreements: none.

General conditions: general conditions of tenderers are excluded.

Negotiations: remain reserved.

Conditions governing the procedure: the contracting authority awards public contracts for services in Switzerland only to contractors who guarantee compliance with the provisions on the protection of workers, the conditions-equal pay and equal pay for men and women.

Indication of remedies: in this invitation to tender if it is an acquisition under Chapter 3 of the OMP, which is not not appealable. Other electricity supplies planned for 2019 and 2020 will be the subject of a separate call for tenders. The deadline for submission of tenders will be reduced to 24 days, in accordance with art. 19a, al. 1, OMP.
