Reference Number : SD 18/19.22

This tender relates to Strand 4 Work Stream 3 of the T Level Professional Development support offer — to develop and deliver activities which provide insight into industry practice. The focus of Strand 4 is to provide opportunities for collaborative activity to embed the learning from the rest of the CPD offer. This work stream is split in to 2 phases:

Main Site : England.

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) are seeking to appoint a tenderer(s) to deliver Strand 4 workstream 3 of the T Level Professional Development support offer.

The short term aim of this work is to support technical teachers, trainers and middle managers to embed learning derived from engagement with and from industry insight activity that has supported genuine 2-way exchange between FE providers and industry. This work stream will enable participants to have an opportunity to work closely with industry experts and professional bodies, practicing dual professionalism, so that the students that they teach can gain the knowledge and skills employers need.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

(a) work shadow industry experts in specific sectors aligned to the T Level Route that they are preparing to deliver. This may involve work shadowing industry colleagues in different roles and work settings within a particular sector;

(b) undertake flexible work placements of a short duration, half or one day, to raise awareness of current industry practice in a range of different work settings;

(c) gain valuable insights through immersive industry placements over longer periods of time, 2 to 3 days, 5 days or 10 days (not necessarily consecutive days) that will support T Level curriculum planning and design, with a clear line of sight to work and delivery;

(d) attend practice sharing and development workshops;

(e) attend industry practice, advice and guidance workshops delivered by employers;

(f) attend route, pathway or subject specialist workshops that are employer led.
