The Employer has received a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD - the Bank) with parallel loan provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB) plus grant funding from EU Neighbourhood Investment Facility (NIF) towards the cost of the SE Moldelectrica Transmission Network Rehabilitation Project..
The Employer now invites sealed tenders from eligible contractors for the following contract to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:.
Medium Voltage Switchgear.
Replacement of Medium Voltage Switchgears in the following substations: Baimaclia, Balti Centru, Bucovat, Calfa, Caplani, Ciocilteni, Cioropcani Noi, Floresti, Iargara, Mihalaseni, Raut, Straseni, Vulcanesti Raionala, Zastinca..
Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from all countries, that meet the minimum qualification criteria viz. (i) average annual turnover (defined as annual earnings, expressed in its equivalent of a defined currency as a contractor over the last 3 years of Euro 20 million equivalent); (ii) reference of successful experience in the execution of contracts of a comparable magnitude (in the execution of at least 2 contracts of a magnitude comparable to the proposed contract within the last 5 years. For assessment purposes the values of the referred contracts shall be not less than the equivalent of Euro 7 million); (iii) personnel capability, equipment availability and financial strength as detailed in the Tender Document. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations..
