The special purpose company JSC Nenskra Hydro majority-owned by Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water), called hereafter the "Client" or "Employer", is under negotiation with Multilateral Development Banks (MDB) for obtaining financing on a non-recourse or limited basis towards the cost of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC Contract) of Nenskra Hydropower Project, called hereafter the "Project", located in the north-western Svaneti region of Georgia..
The Client intends pre-qualifying firms and consortia to tender for the following contract, hereinafter referred to as "the Contract", to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan..
The contract will include the detailed and construction design, procurement and construction of a 130 m height rockfill dam with asphaltic face on Nenskra River, a 15 km long concrete lined headrace tunnel, a 1, 8 km long steel penstock, an open-air powerhouse with an installed capacity of 280 MW, a 9 m height concrete weir on Nakra River, a 12, 5 km long concrete lined transfer tunnel from the weir to the dam reservoir, and all ancillary and related works..
The contract is expected to be implemented from beginning of May 2019 to end of April 2024..
