Since almost a decade the predict project provides DG CNECT with comparable data on ICT and ICT R&D for 40 countries worldwide. The project supports the data production by collecting the data from official statistics, national statistics offices, international organisation, and support JRC in establishing front end methodologies. Recently the project started targeting dynamic technology driven economic segments. The main aim of this study is to contribute to the evidence based support provided by the JRC Digital Economy Unit, by providing data and analyses on the ICT sector and on ICT R&D in the EU and beyond, and by supporting JRC in establishing front end methodologies.
