The Content Creation Intern will support the Generation of Innovation Leaders (GIL) Program by creating visually compelling and engaging content for the website and social media platforms. The intern will contribute to the promotion of the GIL program, share success stories, and enhance overall communication efforts.
Responsibilities
Social Media Content Creation:
Design engaging and visually appealing social media posts.
Develop creative graphics, illustrations, and other visual content.
Collaborate with the team to align content with GIL program objectives.
Caption Writing:
Craft compelling and relevant captions for social media posts.
Ensure consistency in tone and messaging across platforms.
Image Editing:
Edit and enhance images to maintain a cohesive visual identity.
Resize and optimize images for various social media channels.
Storyboard Creation:
Develop storyboards for multimedia content, including videos and presentations.
Work closely with other team members to visualize and communicate key messages effectively.
Success Story Development:
Conduct interviews with GIL participants to gather success stories.
Write and edit success stories for various platforms, showcasing the impact of the GIL program on their startups. Stories are to be written in Arabic and in English.
Upload the data after approval on the GIL Portal.
Content Calendar Management:
Assist in planning and scheduling content across different social media platforms.
Ensure timely and consistent delivery of content in alignment with program events and milestones.
Requirements
Educational Background:
Pursuing or completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related field.
Skills:
Proficient in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.).
Strong writing and editing skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
Basic knowledge of image and video editing software.
Excellent command of the English and Arabic languages.
Basic experience in content creation and creating social media posts.
Creativity and Innovation:
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas.
Willingness to experiment with different content formats.
Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills.
Passion for Social Impact:
Interest in and understanding of issues related to marginalized youth empowerment.
Being an alumnus of GIL is preferred.
Availability:
Commitment to a part-time position for 11 months.
