Expression of Interest are invited for Consumer Market and Investor Research Understanding New Opportunities in Chinese Outbound Markets for Eco and Nature Based Tourism and Chinese Investment in Eco and Nature Based Tourism
The World Bank is seeking a firm to conduct 1) consumer market research on the Chinese nature-based tourism outbound markets and 2) Chinese private sector investors interested in nature-based tourism in order to support an increased understanding of the potential for nature-based tourism and the changes in the tourism market based on COVID-19. Research will be conducted through qualitative focus groups and interviews with consumers, inbound and outbound tour operators, and investors, and an online, quantitative survey with consumers. The firm will begin with desk research and a thorough literature review to understand the trends in the Chinese nature-based tourism outbound market and Chinese investment in nature-based tourism from existing research. The surveys should include assessing both demographic and psychographics of the markets.
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals).
