PurposeCompass is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consulting firms or independent consultants to provide professional services in the area of disability management. This includes support with employee accommodations, return-to-work planning and short-term disability claims. The selected provider will assist in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and best practices while promoting a healthy, inclusive and productive workplace.The consultant must have a proven record of providing Human Resource consulting services to mid-size companies of 80 employees or more.

Key ObjectiveThe primary objectives of this Request for Proposal (RFP) are to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced HR consultants to deliver consulting services in relation to the following key areas:
Employee Accommodations• Assessing accommodation needs• Support with the development and implementation of accommodation policies and procedures• Development and implementation of employee accommodation plans• Advising on compliance with human rights and human resources legislation and best practices
Return to Work Planning• Designing individualized return-to-work plans• Coordinating with medical professionals and internal stakeholders to support implementation of return-to-work plans• Monitoring and adjusting plans as needed
Short-term and Long-Term Disability Claims Management• Reviewing and advising on claim documentation• Liaising with insurance providers• Supporting internal case management processes, in collaboration with the Director of Corporate and Client Services
