Tenders are invited for Consulting Education: Technical assistance in the implementation of the Schools in Peace Strategy in Quibdó, Chocó.

UNICEF COLOMBIA seeks to contribute to Colombian children and adolescents being able to live in a country where the State and society guarantee the realization of their rights, social inclusion and non-violence within the framework of national legislation, the instruments of human rights and international law "We work with a special focus on the departments where children have fewer opportunities: Chocó, Cauca, Nariño, Antioquia, Córdoba, Amazonas, Putumayo, La Guajira and Caquetá.

Purpose of the consultancy ...

Provide pedagogical tools to students, teachers, families and local authorities for the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes in children and adolescents through school initiatives for peace.

Goals:

§ 3 educational institutions focused on Quibdó and 3 student groups that make up and lead school
peace initiatives .

§ 75 girls, boys and adolescents trained in: (i) socio-emotional and citizen skills, (ii) participation strategies and,
(iii) gender equality and non-discrimination. UNICEF will deliver the methodology and the corresponding tools.
1 This inter-programmatic commitment required the articulation of the following components of the UNICEF Cooperation Program in
Colombia: i) protection of children and adolescents, ii) inclusive education, iii) child survival and development and iv)
social inclusion from the perspectives of gender equality, peace building and interculturality.

§ 3 school peace initiatives strengthened and implemented by students and accompanied by teachers (one
school initiative per educational institution). More than three peace school initiatives may be carried out, depending on school time and the
budget available for their development.

§ 90 teachers, teachers and managers in socio-emotional skills and citizenship competencies, participation and gender. It is
expected to complete the training in four workshops; UNICEF will deliver the methodology and the corresponding tools.

§ 900 children and adolescents participating in activities proposed in the framework of school peace initiatives.

§ 1 meeting to exchange experiences of school peace initiatives developed.
