A. RATIONALE

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), the primary policy-making and coordinating body on women and gender equality concerns serves as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Oversight Committee on the Safe Spaces Act (IAOCSSA), the oversight body on the implementation of the Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act (SSA). As co-chair of the oversight committee, the Philippine Commission on Women, together with member agencies, is tasked to formulate a comprehensive and integrated program to prevent and suppress gender-based sexual harassment (GBSH).
