Tender Details
Perform an on-site inspection of the facility and complete a Building Exterior Cladding Inspection (BECI) in theprescribed format and in accordance with the terms of reference - taking into account the level of risk and anyknown existing or past problems. BECIs are identified in the BCR to be completed at 5 year intervals to ensureoverhead safety hazards and other deteriorated conditions are identified and repairs are completed on a cyclicalbasis. Repeated freeze -thaw cycles over multiple years can lead to unexpected damage to exterior cladding dueto water infiltration that can also lead to water damage to interior surfaces creating the risk of mould forming onthese surfaces. Completing cyclical repairs will ensure a major capital restoration project can be deferred thatwould otherwise be required if deficiencies in cladding were left undetected and unrepaired for an extended periodof time.
