Request for proposals are invited for Consultancy: Strengthening Inclusion of Persons with Disability (PWD) in WASH Programmes
Scope of the consultancy
NCA seeks to strengthen its disability inclusion efforts and wants to renew the focus of working with and for PWD because NCA-s work has adopted a rights-based approach and is committed to the principles “leave no one behind” and “do no harm”. The fact that PWD account up to 15% of the global population and often disability exacerbates other forms of exclusion (based on gender, census, age, ethnicity …) further motivates NCA in better include PWD in its programmes.
The consultancy will focus on NCA-s global CRWASH Programme to improve inclusion of persons with disability in CRWASH activities and uphold their rights and dignity.

Through this consultancy, NCA would like to achieve:
l. Mapping of practices and experiences in NCA CRWASH programme (both development and humanitarian context)
a) How systematically are PWD identified and involved in project design, implementation and monitoring/ evaluation?

b) How systematically are CRWASH services adapted to PWD in institutions, public spaces and households?

c) How adequate are infrastructure and services designed and implemented for the usage of PWD?

ll. Identification of barriers faced by NCA and partners on working with/for PWD; is it different from working with/for other minorities?

lll. Identification of barriers on providing WASH services adapted to PWD.

lV. Development and use of a tool for COs self-evaluation on PWD inclusion in CRWASH.

V. Recommendations and way forward for improving inclusion of PWD in CRWASH activities.
