Description : RATIONALE
Achieving gender equality and women-s empowerment requires continuous capacity-building on Gender and Development (GAD), particularly in the application of Gender Analysis (GA) as a tool for gender mainstreaming. While several online platforms offer basic GAD courses, there remains a critical gap in focused, accessible training on GA. This gap is further compounded by frequent changes in leadership and GFPS designations in government agencies, making continuous and flexible learning opportunities essential.
To address this, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) is developing a self-paced Online GAD course on Gender Analysis as a pioneering initiative that expands participation, standardizes learning, and sustains knowledge-building across sectors. The project involves two components: (1) the development of digital knowledge assets such as videos and multimedia learning materials, and (2) the establishment of a Learning Management System (LMS) that will host, deliver, and manage these materials effectively.
