Following the government agreement and a modification of the applicable legal provisions, all new employees of the Belgian Railways (SNCB, Infrabel, HR-Rail) have been engaged on the basis of an employment contract since June 1, 2026. The Belgian Railways have now entered a new era (contractualization) and a market oriented towards competition (liberalization of the railways). This new situation requires that different projects be put in place, supported, structured with a view to preparing SNCB, Infrabel and HR-Rail in this new “level playing field”. Among these is the negotiation of a new collective agreement for contractual staff. The Senior Expert Reward supports, until the end of the negotiations on the new collective agreement, management, management and the negotiating group in the development of the content of the future remuneration policy. This mission combines strategic expertise in compensation with analytical support, simulations and scenario development to enable decision-making and the adoption of well-founded negotiating positions.
