Tender Details

Antecedents In the Chaco, like other regions, the accelerated and disorderly growth of cities and towns implies the increase of requirements in terms of health infrastructure. As a priority, the State attends to basic services of running water, electricity, education, public transport and other services are relegatedBasic, but less visible such as: sanitary sewage, garbage treatment and environmental sanitation in general. The current single-family conventional sanitary solutions of the latrines and the absorbent wells are inadequate, since they entail consequences such as: serious health problems in the population and high contamination of the nappaphreatic As the concentration of the population increases, the solution escapes the individual domain and the problems generated by the lack of sanitation become the main obstacle to public health and the sustainability of water resources. An important aspect to consider is the traditional migration from the countryside to the city. Fundamentale, rural migration is compounded by the mobilization of the indigenous communities1, who, stripped of their traditional habitat, go to swell the periphery of cities, in a situation of extreme poverty. As a participatory mechanism of the users themselves, SENASA promotes the formation of Water and sanitation boards and commissions, which as a priorityThey are responsible for the supply of drinking water. In view of the current challenges, new strategies are required for the implementation of participatory water and sanitation projects in their broad conception, as a set of actions that incorporate the management of the elimination of all those components that pollute the environment (mainly thesewages but also water, garbage, chemical pollutants) and their effects on health, family economy, education.
