i. introduction
a. organization background berytech is a leading organization in the entrepreneurial eco-system in lebanon, that aims to provide a conducive environment for the creation and development of startups, through incubation, business support, counseling, funding, networking, and the company hosting, hence taking part in the economic revival of the country, participating in wealth and job creation, and retaining graduates and high-level skills in lebanon.
ii. purpose
scaling-up agri-food innovations (safi) is a two-year project focusing on the scaling of agro-food and agriculture solutions to reduce import dependency. the safi project is implemented by berytech and funded by the united states agency for international development (usaid) through the agriculture and rural empowerment (are) activity. the accelerator program's mission is to nurture and grow disruptive ideas, proof of concepts, and prototypes that share three common characteristics:
1. a disruptive scientific or technological focus in the agri-food sector.
2. the possibility to scale beyond the local market
3. the potential to create sustainable job opportunities locally
b. scope of work
the accelerator program seeks a sales expert to help the smes in their sales strategies.
the one-on-one sessions should help smes to set a marketing strategy including but not limited to:
• study the company profile and operations to understand its sales needs
• explore sales channels and overcome sales challenges
• develop and implement a sales strategy according to objectives and budget
• help smes articulate their positioning and competitive advantage
• guide smes on how to reach out to potential clients/stakeholders through the sales campaign and how to close a deal with stakeholders
• help smes measure customer loyalty and develop and implement a customer retention strategy c. qualifications
• solid background in business consultancy
• at least 7 years of practical experience as a sales consultant or similar role
• strong communications skills
• fluent in english and arabic
• experience in startup and sme mentorship is a plus
• experience in the agri-food sector is a plus
