The Department of Tourism, aligned with the National Tourism Development Plan, is working to diversify the country-s tourism offerings by developing new and emerging products, including Digital Nomad Tourism. This initiative is further strengthened by Executive Order No. 86, signed on April 24, which introduces a special visa category for digital nomads.
Through research consultancy services, a qualitative needs assessment will be conducted to evaluate the readiness of key destinations and understand the infrastructure, services, and policy requirements needed to support digital nomads.
The study will engage local stakeholders and implementing bodies to identify assets, gaps, and opportunities. Its findings will produce policy-driven recommendations to guide the development of a structured Digital Nomad Tourism product and strengthen the Philippines- competitiveness...
