Tender Details

The Project concerns the construction of a third lane for right-hand turns on Strovolou Avenue, approximately 300m long, from the roundabout of the Presidential Palace to the junction with Archbishop Kyprianou Avenue. To the east of the existing road where it will be and the required widening to create the right-hand turn there is a steep incline. The soils in this area are clayey, therefore according to the plans included in the Terms of Contract the construction of walls is proposed support in parallel rows to create terraces which will be planted. The cladding of the retaining walls for the construction of the slopes will be done with stone similar to, and the same methodology, as that used on the opposite side of the road (on the slopes of the Presidential Palace). The project includes, among other things, moving the sidewalk to a new location, undergrounding Public Utility Services, strengthening the existing rainwater network, etc.
