D3. SCOPE OF WORKD3.1 The Work to be done under the subsequent Contract shall consist of the construction andcommissioning of a Transit bus garage building and site works. The garage will have thecapacity to park and service two hundred and seven (207) 40 ft equivalent buses (subject tochange). The procurement will include all necessary equipment and fixtures for a fully functionalparking and servicing garage at the completion of the Contract. The garage is expected to beapproximately 26, 184 square meters in size. The building will be at minimum LEED Silvercertified building.The major components of the Work are as follows:(a) The building:(i) The building is composed of 4 main areas: bus service, bus storage, busmaintenance and an administration area.(ii) Bus service area - Equipped with service feeds for inspection, cleaning and washingof the incoming buses.(iii) Bus storage area - Three segregated compartments of parking space for 207 40 ftequivalent buses.(iv) Bus maintenance and repair area - maintenance and repair bays, managementoffices, and parts warehouse.(v) Administration area - Management and Dispatcher offices, training and conferencerooms, lounge and lunchroom area, amenity facilities, and operation and repairsstaff locker rooms.(b) Site Remediation - Historically, the property was the location for two deactivated gasstations and a landfill.
