Construction of Kiuruvesi unified school Advance notification The city of Kiuruvesi will implement a new unified school construction project during the years 2026-2028. The plans and calculation documents will be completed during June 2026. The tender for the project will be held according to the preliminary schedule in July-August 2026. Basic information about the project: - The project scope of the general plan phase is approx. 6, 450 brm2 - Years 1-9 of basic education will be placed in the new unified school, the number of students is approx. 500. - New construction to the area of the current school center - During the construction, the old surrounding school buildings are in use - The goal is to start teaching in the new premises in autumn 2028. The city of Kiuruvesi will organize a presentation event for the project on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 12:00 to 13:00. The event is organized with the TEAMS connection.
