With this assignment, SOLVA wishes to pursue two objectives: (1) optimal use of the wind energy potential on the relevant plot of land on the Doorn Noord business park (owned by SOLVA); (2) increasing support for a sustainable energy transition through actioneffectively involving the companies located on the Doorn Noord industrial estate, residents of the city of Ninove through citizen participation and, by extension, residents of South-East Flanders. By providing local renewable energy production via a wind turbine, a substantial share of the electricity supply will be generatedsupply to consumers in the area in a CO2-neutral manner. The focus is on active direct participation of citizens and companies in renewable energy production, which will lead to a more democratic energy policy and contribute to greater support for sustainable energy.energy and ensure more equitable financing.
