Tenders are invited for Construction of Amman Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project - Mega Package 2) consists of the Works of Package 5: Prince Hamza Bin Al Hussein Street, Package 7: Al-Shaheed Street and Package 15: Al Istiqlal Street.

Project scope:
This project (Mega Package 2) consists of the Works of Package 5: Prince Hamza Bin Al Hussein Street, Package 7: Al-Shaheed Street and Package 15: Al Istiqlal Street


Package 5: Prince Hamza Bin Al Hussein Street
The Tender consists of construction of a BRT designated route along prince Hamza bin Al Hussein street connecting Al Shaheed street BRT to Istiklal street BRT.The route comprises two lanes consisting mainly of flexible (asphalt surfaced) pavements with rigid (concrete) pavements at stations. The route is approximately 960 m long .


Work also includes:
- Construction of sidewalks finished with various types of tiles and pavers.
- Street Lighting.
- Retaining walls.
- Storm water drainage connected to existing system.
- Traffic Signals
- Demolition and utility relocations as indicated.



Package 7: Al-Shaheed Street
The Tender consists of construction of a BRT designated route at Al Shaheed street connecting Sport City BRT to Amman-Zarqa BRT.
The route comprises two lanes consisting mainly of flexible (asphalt surfaced) pavements with rigid (concrete) pavements at stations. The route is approximately 3400 m long .
Work also includes:
- Construction of sidewalks finished with various types of tiles and pavers.
- Street Lighting.
- Retaining walls.
- Storm water drainage connected to existing system.
- Demolition and utility relocations as indicated.
Package 15: Al Istiqlal Street
The Tender consists of construction of a BRT designated route in Istiqlal street starting just before the intersection between Istiqlal and Prince Hamza ben Al Hussein streets to Al Nasha Intersection. This BRT route is part of line 1 starting at Swuayleh and ending at Al Nasha Street.
The BRT route comprises two lanes consisting mainly of flexible (asphalt surfaced) pavements with rigid (concrete) pavements at stations. The route is approximately 2350m long.
Work also includes:
- Widening Istiqlal street 10-12 m to the south in order to accommodate the BRT route.
- Rehabilitation and/or reconstruction of Istiqlal Street per Drawings.
- Construction of retaining walls between lift and right side of Istiqlal Street at locations where there are differences in the levels of these sides.
- Construction of sidewalks finished with various types of tiles and pavers.
- Street Lighting.
- Storm water drainage connected to existing system.
- Demolition and utility relocations as indicated

Participation in tendering process is open to qualified (international and local) Contractors. Local contractors should be (CLASS A ROAD CONSTRUCTION)
Bidders may collect a copy of the tender documents from the Tendering and Procurement Department at the Greater Amman Municipality (second floor) by an authorized representative of the bidder who will be obliged to submit a certified official copy of the bidder-s company business registration, the fee for the tender documents is (300 JD) non-refundable. or any equivalent amount in any convertible currency exclusive transaction or currency conversion fees.

The submission of Tenders must be received in sealed envelopes, either delivered by hand or by courier to GAM at the address noted below no later than Monday, 29 October 2018 at 1200 hrs.) noon (Amman Local Time). Late responses will not be considered.

It must be clearly marked (Tender Number, Tender Name, and Bidders Name) in addition to marking the envelope as copy or original. This envelope must include a bid security, the amount of the bid security shall be (JOD 500, 000) and must be valid for 120 days from the date of tender submission.
b. The second envelope must include the Financial Proposal. (envelopes should contain 3 hardcopies (1 original and 2 copies) and 1 soft copy (CD)) This envelope should also include the form of tender filled and duly signed by the bidder It must be clearly marked (Tender Number, Tender Name, Bidders Name and Financial Proposal in addition to marking the envelop as copy or original.Bidders are requested to follow up the issuance of any further instructions and amendments to the Tender document.
GAM reserves the right to accept or reject any Proposal, and to annul the Tender process and reject all proposals at any time, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders.
Bidders will be advised, in due course, of the results of their proposals.
