G.P. BAUDOIN IN WARSAW UL. NOWOGRODZKA 75 A. Folders containing individual documents, sheets of documents, personal documentation and medical documentation. The general state of preservation of the units selected for work with scope of maintenance and protection of materials: - permanent creases and deformations of the paper base of documents - cavities - tears - old, incorrect repairs - gluing of the spine preventing access to the text Work program: 1) Possible mechanical cleaning of document pages using an appropriately selected method in places where incorrect repairs and tears occur (e.g. using a soft brush with synthetic bristles, Wallmaster® latex sponge, Prismacolor® Magicrub vinyl eraser, non-phthalate Hi-Polymer Pentel® rubber bands or glass fiber). 2) Testing the resistance of the paper substrate, printing, writing media and adhesive binder of incorrect repairs to selected organic solvents. 3) Removal of old, incorrect ones repairs using organic solvents and/or a steam scalpel (all adhesive tapes as well as paper strips covering the text) except for additions to the paper base and glued elements...
