Consequence assessment of the area part of the municipal plan
Melhus municipality is now working on revising the area part of the municipal plan, and is seeking external help to carry out impact assessments. The municipality's community part was adopted by the municipal council in Melhus in 2023. It has 11 main goals that form the basis of the municipality's development. In addition, it includes a long-term area strategy for the period 2023 - 2043. The community part with area strategy provides a framework for the work with the area part of the municipal plan. The work with the current area part was started in 2012 and it was adopted in December 2014. Since then, major changes have taken place both within the municipality and in relation to national, regional and local guidelines and legislation. Ongoing work on the new area is therefore extensive. The plan must also contain area that is currently included in the municipal sub-plan for Gaula, and a comprehensive plan wash of the municipality's adopted zoning plans must be carried out. The planning program for the new sub-area was adopted on 16/12/2025. The municipality is now in the process of preparing the land section's planning proposal, and has an ambitious progress plan for the production of planning proposals.
