Short description : The Trondheim Conferences on Biological Diversity have been important since 1993 to strengthen the academic basis for decisions under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). Hosts for the conferences are the Norwegian government at the Ministry of the Environment and the Environment, in cooperation with affected ministries andUN Environment Program (UNEP). The Environmental Directorate is central to the organizer and Norwegian professional authority in the field. It has been clarified that the 9th Trondheim Conference will be held for four days, from Monday 8 October to Thursday 11 October 2019. The conference is expected to gather up to 450 participants from 80-100 countries, from national authorities, UN agencies, international organizations and key academic communities.
