Email: Login to see tender_detailsLogin to see details Tender Details As part of the implementation of the 75 future projects of the “East Belgium Life 2025” mission statement of the regional development concept of the German-speaking community, data collection in the German-speaking community has been continuously expanded and expanded since 2009 supplemented by environmental analyses. The aim was to identify long-term trends. On this basis, future scenarios were developed and corresponding strategies were formulated, including concrete recommendations for action. The environmental analysis was carried out in form of population surveys. As a result, representative demographic surveys were carried out in the German-speaking community in 2011, 2014, 2018 and 2022. Approximately 1, 000 people were surveyed on the following topic blocks: • the most important tasks and problems in East Belgium • personal characteristics and attitudes • the identity of citizens • assessments of coexistence in East Belgium • living and working in East Belgium • mobility • political interest and citizen participation • Voluntary commitment • Importance of various future goals of the German-speaking community • The institutional development of the German-speaking community The results are on the statistics platform of the German-speaking community www.ostbelgienstatistics.be can be viewed. In spring 2024, the government of the German-speaking Community adopted the “East Belgium Live 2040” mission statement.
