Brief description of the procurement: The purpose of the procurement is to carry out an applied study to evaluate the effect of the feed additive 3-nitrooxypropanol (3-NOP) and selected feed materials (e.g. rapeseed cake, fatty acids) on reducing methane emissions from the intestinal fermentation of dairy cows in Estonian conditions. The study also assesses the impact on animal health and welfare, milk composition and production, and the biogas/biomethane production potential of manure. Grant in the amount of 356, 000 allocated for the implementation research stated in the procurement documents euros are inclusive of VAT. From the mentioned amount, 353, 600 euros have been earmarked for conducting an applied study and 2, 400 euros for public presentation of the results of the study on two occasions.
