Expression of Interest are invited for Conduct Security Services.
War Child UK works with children who, because of conflict, live with a combination of poverty, exclusion and insecurity. War Child interventions seek to support such children though three main areas of work: child protection, education and livelihoods. We look forward to a world in which the lives of children are no longer torn apart by war; this is a vision that can only be realized through the collective actions of children themselves, communities and their leaders, organizations like War Child and Governments.
a) Brief Duties & Responsibilities:
The security personnel will be deployed at the main entrance of the office and will perform regular security surveillance. They will closely monitor if any visitor comes to meet the staff, inform the concerned staff member and conduct screening of the visitor accordingly. Verification of identification, visitor control and other access control issues i.e. screening of personnel as well as packages.
b) Details
The Service Provider (SP) shall abide to the below Scope of Services for the required Security Guards services.
• SP should be a specialized and professional Security and Safety Service Providers with a very good past experiences especially with International Organizations and must be registered in Yemen and obtains all required valid clearance/Cards from the concerned authorities to work in Yemen as a security and safety company service providers in Yemen.
• SP will be responsible to provide required services for its Premises where WCUK operates in both Sana'a and Aden Offices.
• SP must take full responsibility for WCUK premises from any losses, thefts, etc.
• SP must have sufficient security guards as backup in case a replacement is requested.
• SP should pay a reasonable remuneration per month as a net salary in US Dollars to each of its security guards in WCUK and the payment must be transferred to the security guards account at the end of each calendar month. In case the security guard has no bank account, the company must open bank account for the security guards salary transferring.
• SP should provide Social security insurance benefit to its personnel assigned in WCUK locations, in the event where the company could not open social security insurance account for the guards, the company should pay the guards the same amount by cash at the end his services.
• SP must provide Medical Insurance for the security guard and three direct dependents of his/her family and the Medical insurance policy should be with good medical insurance package and with a reputable medical insurance company.
• SP should pay Eid bounces of the security guards in each Eid, (Eid Al-Fitr & Eid Al- Adha) before the Eid Holydays.
• SP should conduct regular security trainings and refreshment trainings to all security guards in each location.
• The SP should provide Operations Room Services 24 hours/ 7 days.
• The SP should provide Joker coverage at its own expenses (The bidder/Company should cover the Joker Salary) and the Joker coverage must be in all locations and the Jokers should be paid at the same rate of the guards monthly rate.
• Each guard shall work one shift of no more than 8 hours, the service is required 24 hours / day and the working hours for each guard should be as per the Yemeni labor law working hours where official working hours shall not exceed eight hours per day or 48 hours per week. Weekly hours of work shall be distributed over six working days followed by one day of rest with full pay.
• SP has no right to replace any guards unless approved by WCUK and WCUK has the right to reject any guard not appropriate servicing the purpose of WCUK requirements.
• The security guards must be entitled to Annual paid leave as per the Yemeni Labor law and the SP bear all expenses for these paid leave and the expense of the Joker Coverage during the guard annual leave.
4. Selection Criteria:
Those firms are found technically qualified, shall express their interest by submitting an official letter accompanied with a full back age of the company profile which must contain the following components; Background and Experiences of the company, Company technical and financial capabilities, personnel, training experiences, work methodology, clients acknowledgement and cadre remuneration…etc.
Successful companies will be evaluated based on above criteria and those selected ones will be invited to submit their technical and financial proposals of which WCUK will make final judgment and selected the best technically and financially responsive offer.
5. Submission deadline:
Expression of interest must submitted to WCUK office no later than 20 October 2021 by 4:30 PM addressing;
