Tenders are invited for Sri Lanka Energy Program Seeking Proposals to Conduct Dispatch Audit of Sri Lanka-s Power Sector. .

· The USAID Sri Lanka Energy Program, implemented by Chemonics International, has released a Request for Proposals for a firm to conduct an electricity dispatch audit of Sri Lanka. Working collaboratively with Sri Lanka-s Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), the selected offeror will conduct a merit order dispatch audit of Sri Lanka-s National System Control Center (NSCC), the only transmission control center of Sri Lanka, to increase the center-s transparency and efficiency in operational planning and dispatch.

· The dispatch audit will focus on years 2022 and 2023, and focus on the following areas at a minimum: hydro-inflow forecasting; demand forecasting; generation and transmission outage coordination; year ahead, month-ahead, and week-ahead generation scheduling; actual dispatch; system restoration after December 9, 2023 blackout. Interested firms should possess significant technical expertise and experience in dispatch auditing, dispatch planning and operations, and the ability to obtain expertise in Sri Lanka-s local power sector. The dispatch audit activity is expected to take place from May to December 2024.
