The Conditions for further use of sustainable forestry and peat production areas in Kymenlaakso project will be conducted in a study that draws up three scenarios on the effects of forest management and felling methods and felling on carbon sinks, water casting and biodiversity. The scenarios of further use of peat production areas look at how restoration as a wetland, wetland cultivation or solar energy production would affect the carbon sinks and warehouses of the area, water casting and biodiversity. The study includes a current estimate, scenario and recommendations for action to promote further use of sustainable forestry and peat production areas in the province.
