 Asset condition monitoring involves data collection, inspections, and diagnostic testing (oil analysis, PD, SF₆ checks, thermography) to assess healthiness of the equipment.  Results are analyzed to identify weaknesses, recommend corrective actions, and generate detailed performance and cost-benefit reports.  The scope also includes staff training and root cause analysis to improve reliability and prevent future failures.
