Concession for the design, construction, financing, and operation of the Rungis MIN geothermal power plant SEMMARIS is the company responsible for the management and development of the Rungis International Market, by decree no. 65-325 of April 27, 1965 as well as by article 199 of law no. 2015-990 of August 6, 2015 for growth, activity and equal economic opportunities. Article 34 of Ioi No. 2025-268 of March 24, 2025 on orientation for food sovereignty and the renewal of generations in agriculture modified article 199 of law no. 2015-990 of August 6, 2015 for growth, activity and equal economic opportunities by extending the mission of SEMMARIS until December 31, 2068. The network of the MIN and ancillary areas represents around thirty km and around 160 substations. This network was created in 1969 and operated under a 30-year concession. At the end of this concession, SEMMARIS took over the management of the network. The MIN heat network is supplied by an energy recovery unit and a gas boiler room providing emergency backup, which allows the distribution of approximately 167 GWh (in 2025).
