As a coastal municipality, the municipality of The Hague has a unique recreational offer, the 40 beach houses on the Zuiderstrand form an important part. The beach houses offer both residents and tourists the opportunity to enjoy a stay at the sea during the beach season. The Seasonal exploitation of these houses is seen as a service that matches municipal policy aimed at tourism, recreation and beach management. The current concession period for the exploitation and management of the beach houses will expire at the end of 2025. The municipality of The Hague intends By means of a European public procedure, the concession agreement for the seasonal exploitation of the beach houses to be tendered.
