Concession assignment Pilot Regional Bicycle Sharing System Description:The MRDH wants to conclude one concession agreement with basic coverage for the pilot, with a duration of three years, through which municipalities and the MRDH gain experience with a publicly accessible regional bicycle sharing system. The MRDH consciously opts for a pilot because it wants to test, together with municipalities and the concession holder, how a bicycle sharing system can contribute to regional tasks and policy goals. In addition, they are in preparation of the tender has defined several topics that the MRDH wants to test during the pilot with sub-studies. This concerns, among other things, the possibilities to reduce rates (for specific target groups), to use shared bicycles as a measure limit inconvenience caused by work, increase accessibility through user-friendly payment methods and improve the connection to public transport so that the shared bicycle forms an attractive first and last mile solution within a chain journey.
