Computed tomography (CT) equipment will be purchased for the x-ray department of Vaasa Central Hospital to replace the CT acquired in 2013.
The x-ray department of Vaasa Central Hospital conducts approx. 14, 000 CT examinations every year, of which approx. half are emergency examinations. The patients to be photographed are mainly adult patientsita, but occasionally children and young people are also photographed.
The primary use of the equipment to be procured is emergency examinations, but the equipment will also be used to image elective patients.
