the epfl plans a complete 3d ldv system (three-dimensional laser doppler velocimeter) for the institute wind engineering and renewable energy (wire) of the faculty architecture, civil and environmental engineering (enac) to purchase. The system is to be used in the atmosphaerenforschung on the cutting edge of science. With consideration of the beduerfnisse epfl and specific goals of the institute wire include research of particular interest: the measuring system is to be used durchzufuehren-invasive, point-velocity measurements. This should make possible insbesonere following experiments in the wind tunnel: • analyzing the interaction between the atmosphavarian flow with artificial structures as wind turbines, buildings, bridges, etc. • analysis of turbulent atmospheric flow supernatural terrain such as hill, rock walls, etc.
