Compilation of the Topic Plan for the Mineral Resources of the Rapla County Plan 2030 and the Paernu County Plan and Assessment of the Relevant Impacts, Including for the Ministry of Regional and Agriculture
The purpose of the thematic planning of the mineral resources of the Rapla and Paernu county plans and the strategic assessment of the relevant impacts, including the environmental impact, is to set national strategic land use priorities for the exploration and mining of mineral resources in cooperation with the state, local governments and local communities.and in the territory of Paernu county, to ensure opportunities to meet the needs of society. The theme plan determines the location of prospective construction mineral exploration areas and mining areas, as well as the possibilities of expanding existing quarries and peat production areas. It also provides general guidelinesed to mitigate the effects of mining and clean up mined areas. When preparing the thematic plan, the goals set in the development document of the fundamentals of the subsurface policy until the year 2050 for spatial planning of the use of subsurface resources and ensuring security of supply are taken into account.
