We are searching for…

Search for Common Ground-s Children & Youth division seeks a Consultant for a short term contract. The Consultant will support communications related to the release and dissemination of the Independent Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security. The Consultant will also support the dissemination of the findings of a series of consultations with Hard to Reach youth and the report Mapping a Sector, developed by Search for Common Ground together with partners as contributions to the study. The consultant will report to the Children & Youth programme manager remotely for a period of 2 months.

Your contribution

The consultant is expected to carry out the following as part of the consultancy:

· Draft a strategy for communicating about the Study and its findings

· Support the drafting of three op-eds about the findings of the Study

· Develop 10 social media graphics and accompanying posts promoting different components of the Study findings

· Develop an infographic highlighting the Study-s key findings

· Develop content for the www.youth4peace.info platform and the Search for Common Ground website to disseminate the findings of the Study, as well as Search for Common Ground-s contributions to the Study.

· Develop a media package with key findings from the Study, as well as Search for Common Ground-s contributions to the Study, using some of the deliverables listed above

Timeline: 7 April 2018 through 7 June 2018.

As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key responsibilities.

You are… You meet the following qualifications:**

· Strong English language writing skills, French is a plus

· Experience of graphic design

· Experience of social media communications

· A prior understanding of the field of youth, peace and security is preferrable

Payment: Flat rate consultant payment, paid in two installments. Please include your indicative rate when applying.
