Joint development and implementation of an XR-based learning solution for vocational training in the tourism industry
1. Purpose and target of the procurement The purpose of the procurement is the joint development and implementation of a game-based simulation or XR-based learning solution for secondary vocational education in the tourism industry. The solution must also be suitable for university of applied sciences teaching. The procurement is carried out as part of the Immersive Learning Ecosystem IMMO project co-financed by the European Union in cooperation with Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, the City of Helsinki and Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The goal is to produce an experiential and working-life-oriented learning experience suitable for the immersive room space of the IMMO project, which allows students to practice knowledge, skills and situations related to the parts of the tourism degree and the competence needs of working life. The solution can be related to one or more areas of expertise in the tourism industry. The tenderer is not required to have ready-made learning content or a ready-made XR solution in the bidding phase, but the final content of the solution, learning goals and use cases are specified in joint development. 2.
