This project aims to assist theregulator in Bangladeshin adapting climate risk as a part of prudential management of regulated entitiesthrough the development of a climate risk management guideline followinginternational best practices, assess the maturity of financial institutions (FIs)in climate risk management, and build internal capacity of the regulator. The overall objective of the projectis to support regulator of financial sector in adopting international and/or regionalbest practices of climate risk management. To achieve its overall objective, theproject will focus on 3 components: 1. Climate risk management guideline andrelevant capacity building: Climate risk management guideline for the FIs and build the industryreadiness and capacity to adapt this guideline.2. Maturity assessment of FIs on climaterisk management and roadmap development: A high-level maturity assessment of selected FIs on climaterisk management and developing an actionable roadmap for improving climate riskmanagement practices.3. Enhancing the internal capacity ofthe regulator:Building internal capacity of regulator on climate risk management based onregional and international best practices
